General Description
Assist Recreation Program Supervisor and other Park and Recreation staff in coordinating, implementing, and supervising a variety of programs, special events, and leagues. Supervise seasonal staff, facilities, and perform office duties related to work. Work schedule will vary, including days, evenings, and weekends. Hours are 35-40 hours per week. Internship is seasonal from mid-May through mid-August.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate a wide variety of programs, activities, and special events.
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate seasonal staff.
- Develop marketing and promotion initiatives for the parks and recreation department.
- Perform departmental tasks, including writing reports, record keeping.
- Fill in as needed as a Recreation Center Cashier.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.

Work is done in a variety of places, both indoors and outdoors, depending on the activity and / or task.
