The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. DYCD Strategic Communications team is in search of a Digital Content Manager. The Digital Content Manager is responsible for driving the agency's digital content strategy, ensuring alignment with the agencys mission to serve youth and communities. This role focuses on creating, managing, and analyzing content across various platforms, with an emphasis on increasing engagement, visibility, and impact.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Content Strategy & Development :

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with the agency's mission and goals.
• Create original, high-quality content in collaboration with the Communications team that highlights DYCDs efforts and achievements.
• Identify gaps in existing content and integrate SEO best practices to optimize digital presence.

Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with 24 credits in English, journalism or public relations, plus five (5) years of full-time paid experience in public relations, journalism or advertising, including two (2) years in an administrative, supervisory or consultative capacity; or

2. A combination of education and / or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Graduate study in English, journalism, or public relations may be substituted for up to one year of required experience. However, all candidates must have at least two (2) years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative experience in public relations, journalism or advertising.
