We are seeking an experienced Contract Management Director to join our team and contribute to this important work.
Job Description
The Contract Management Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and progress of contracts related to wastewater treatment facilities. This includes planning, coordinating, and negotiating with contractors, as well as supervising engineers and assistant engineers to prepare specifications and manage contract administration. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement contract management strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
- Negotiate with contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Supervise engineers and assistant engineers to prepare specifications and manage contract administration
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate risks associated with contract implementation
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement
- Provide training and guidance to engineers and assistant engineers on contract administration and specification preparation
Qualifications
- A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer
- Six years of full-time satisfactory experience in mechanical engineering or a related field, at least two years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with contract administration principles and practices
