The Office of the Executive Deputy Commissioner of Citywide Operations (EDC) manages DCAS citywide functions including Citywide Procurement Energy Management Fleet and Human Capital. EDC seeks to hire a Community Coordinator who will report directly to the Executive Deputy Commissioner and perform a broad range of responsibilities. This position will play a crucial role assisting the Executive Deputy Commissioner and senior staff regarding business administrative and strategic issues that arise across the various lines of services. The Community Coordinators portfolio will encompass key projects initiatives and / or policy proposals at the direction of the Executive Deputy Commissioner.
Project Management in coordination with the appropriate lines of service agencies and team members assist in overseeing and monitoring projects and policy initiatives to ensure goals are achieved within the applicable timelines.
Presentation Support develop compelling and digestible presentation materials including visual presentations and talking points utilizing often technical and complex information from operational teams.
Research Analysis and Writing perform qualitative and quantitative research in connection with policy proposals priority projects agency initiatives and programmatic support. Based on that analysis provide recommendations written and verbal to relevant staff members.
- Program Oversight serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders; as directed work to identify and problem solve for areas that require greater support or efficiency;
Correspondence support and edit efforts to communicate the agencys undertakings and accomplishments including as it relates to public inquiries mandated reporting official communications and legislative hearings.
General Support as needed provide administrative support and coordination including preparation of briefing memoranda talking points background research and information and meeting planning

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and / or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
