This position is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory to ensure timely and accurate distribution of materials across city departments. The ideal candidate will maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, ensure inventory is properly documented and accessible, and assist in optimizing warehouse operations to support overall city services.

- Maintain accurate records, reports, correspondence, and departmental files.
- Manage and track inventory, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Process orders, accept deliveries, verify shipments, and stock warehouse items.
- Prepare, package, label, and organize merchandise for storage or transport.
- Assist with data collection and analysis for reporting and decision-making.
- Support internal audits through proper documentation and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Transport materials and ensure safe handling of all items.
- Identify and report damaged or missing inventory.
- Perform manual tasks such as unloading trucks, sorting items, and lifting heavy objects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations adn inventory control methods.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work under pressure with short deadlines.
- Interact with a diverse group of people.
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or related field preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within six months of hire.
- A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications

- Indoor and outdoor working environment (50/50) with occasional travel for meetings or training.
- Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
- Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
- Sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time.
- Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps. Body agility is emphasized.
- Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: manual dexterity, mental acuity, repetitive motion, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching.
