ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Human Resources Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping our workforce by leading recruitment efforts, enhancing employee training programs, and ensuring fair and competitive compensation. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will contribute to fostering a thriving workplace where employees are valued and supported.

EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU’LL DO

Recruit Top Talent: Lead recruitment and selection processes, develop strategies, and enhance our applicant tracking system (NeoGov).

Enhance Employee Experience: Administer benefits programs, conduct compensation analysis, and support classification reviews.

Promote Workforce Development: Develop and track employee training and professional growth initiatives.

Ensure Compliance & Best Practices: Stay ahead of employment laws and policies to keep the city’s workforce aligned with best HR practices.

Lead Volunteer & Internship Programs: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and program development.

Be a Resource for Employees: Provide HR guidance, maintain records, and support workplace culture.

A typical way to obtain knowledge, skills, and abilities would be a college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, including recruitment, benefits administration, classification and compensation, training, or compliance preferably in a public sector organization. Significant related experience may substitute for education, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties as described.  

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with NeoGov and HR systems.

  • SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR, or IPMA-HR certification.

  • Municipal government HR experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hardworking and compassionate team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.  The position requires mobility including the ability to frequently lift or move materials up to twenty pounds and occasionally lift or move materials up to thirty pounds.  Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computers, keyboards, telephones, and standard office equipment.  
The position requires the ability to operate a motorized vehicle.  Manual dexterity and coordination are required about 60% of the work period while operating such equipment as computers, keyboards, telephones, standard office equipment, maintenance equipment, and motorized vehicles.   
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work location is primarily indoors where most of work period occurs under usual office working conditions.

Salary : $67,884 - $82,512
