The Grants Management Team is seeking an innovative and results-oriented professional with strong grant management experience to provide support with planning, developing, analyzing, and performing complex projects associated with the management of federal, state, and local grant funds. The Management Analyst III – Grants is responsible for assisting city departments with their grants needs. This position creates and manages citywide grants training and assists departments with grant research and writing. The Management Analyst III will also be responsible for grants-related communications, including developing the Annual Grants Plan.
Departmental Salary Range: $59,393-$65,330
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Supports city departments by identifying potential sources of funding from federal, state and private sources for local program services and evaluates appropriateness of grant funding relative to city policies and goals.
- Compiles and reviews internal and external grant information to assist city departments with completing grant applications.
- Reviews and edits draft grant applications to ensure it is responsive to grant solicitation requirements and work with departments to prepare final document for submission.
- Assists city departments with the implementation of grant programs including budget development, monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Assists in the development and implementation of a citywide grant monitoring process for all city departments.
- Analyzes city department processes and grant implementation and recommend adjustments to policy, procedures and program development to ensure efficient citywide grant structure.
- Maintains informational web-based databases to record, analyze and report data on grant programs and service activities.
- Assists management by developing detailed reports on city grants, analysis of city process, sensitive documents, correspondence and special reports.
- Provides training to city departments on various components of grant management.
- Participates in task force meetings and special projects.
- Coordinates with the Finance Department to ensure the city financial management system reflects accurate city grant activities and status.
- Disseminates information publicly, concisely, timely and thoroughly to all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Update and manage Grant monitoring process to ensure grant applications, required reports, and other requirements are submitted in timely manner
Four years' experience in data analysis or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional preferred experience:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret federal/state regulations
- Experience in grant monitoring and conducting site visits
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with financial management systems
- Effective researching, writing, analytical and public speaking skills.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Signing Bonus: This position is eligible for a one-time $5,000 signing bonus for applications received on or after February 22, 2022. The signing bonus will be paid in two (2) increments: $2,500 upon completion of 60 days of employment, and $2,500 upon completion of your probationary period. To receive the signing bonus, you must be an active employee in good standing.
