Major Job Function
1. Schedule and run team practice sessions.
2. Teach participants the fundamentals of soccer through progressive skill development of soccer skills. Emphasize skill development including safety, fair play, and sportsmanship.
3. Set-up, instruct, and supervise coaching and practice sessions.
4. Ensure proper sideline behavior from team members and parents. Ensure the safety of the team during practice sessions and games.
5. Supervise safe arrival and departure of children and care for the equipment ensuring proper use and collection of all items after each practice.
Minimum Requirements for Position
Must be 16 years of age or older and have knowledge of soccer.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience teachingplaying or coaching soccer. Enjoy teaching elementary age kids. First Aid and CPR certified. Hours would be approximately six hours a week for 7 weeks.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
