What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beach Attendant Supervisor (Seasonal) position at City of North Myrtle Beach?
Under general supervision, performs recreational and supervisory work in planning, coordinating, and supervising concessions operations at Ocean Park, Beach Services warehouse facility and along the beach. Work involves maintaining accurate records of revenue and expenditures. Plays a key role in theft prevention by conducting daily audits of Concession Workers. Reports to the Beach Services Manager and the Concession Manager.Requires a High School diploma with one to two years of experience in concessions, store management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license.Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 40 pounds), and occasionally heavier objects and materials (up to 250 pounds) including pushing and/or pulling wheeled beach concession carts. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions on the oceanfront. Applicants must be comfortable driving trucks on the streets and beach and must be comfortable attaching/un-attaching, loading, pulling and backing up trailers as well as being able to properly secure items loaded onto trailers.
