Pump Mechanic II (Salary commensurate with experience)

Under limited supervision, maintains and repairs water and wastewater pumps as required. .  Performs skilled mechanical repairs, prepares maintenance records, performs chemical testing, operates a boom truck and vac truck, and performs related activities 
 

Education:	High school graduate or GED
Experience:	One to two years of mechanical/ maintenance and repair experience
Certifications:	Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License Trainee permit in Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection

Note:	The City retains the right to determine equivalencies. Any certifications not possessed at hire, must be obtained before the employee is removed from probation in order to continue employment with the City.

 Must be physically able to operate a crane truck, generators, overhead cranes, air compressor, meters, a computer, and a variety of small tools and equipment.   Must be able to exert in excess of one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of fifty pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of twenty pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to one hundred pounds
