Job Overview:

Eaglewood Golf Course, Grill, and Event Center is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social/Digital Media and Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing efforts. This role is integral in driving our brand's presence across social media platforms and ensuring that Eaglewood is positioned as a premier destination for golf, dining, and events. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, have a keen understanding of the golf industry, and possess the creative skills necessary to develop engaging content that resonates with our audience.

At Eaglewood Golf Course, Grill, and Event Center, we are seeking a visionary Social/Digital Media and Marketing Manager who can spearhead our marketing, driving the growth of our sponsorship portfolio and expanding our corporate tournament offerings. This role will involve identifying potential sponsors, cultivating strong relationships, and creating compelling marketing campaigns that highlight the unique value Eaglewood offers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in establishing and growing these partnerships, with a focus on creating innovative marketing strategies that attract and engage sponsors while positioning Eaglewood as the go-to venue for corporate tournaments. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Strategy Development:
  • Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Eaglewood's overall marketing objectives and brand identity.
  • Develop content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting that supports marketing campaigns, events, and promotions.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Generate engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, including written posts, images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats.
  • Lead content and creative planning during production shoots with brand ambassadors and partners.
  • Manage digital content production schedules, calendars, and budgets.
  • Managing website presence and media throughout our website.

Community Engagement:

  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner, and actively engage with the audience to foster community growth.
  • Monitor professional golf tournaments and react in real-time to relevant achievements by tour players as well as local events and golf courses.
  • Work with other full time staff to increase presence of the teaching academy, golf course, grill and event center offerings.

Paid Social Media Campaigns:

  • Develop and manage paid social media advertising campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Collaborate with the Meta manager to create effective funnels and retargeting strategies for paid ads and organic post boosts.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track key performance metrics such as reach, engagement, impressions, and more to measure the effectiveness of social media activities.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Brand and Reputation Management:

  • Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, industry trends, and relevant news, participating in conversations to maintain brand reputation.
  • Develop protocols and strategies for handling social media crises and negative feedback.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the General Manager, Golf Professionals, Kitchen Managers and Event Staff to gather information, amplify brand visibility, and ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with the Vendors, Sponsors and online ambassador social media content schedules.
  • Coordinate outings, content and collaborations with influential golf individuals on a local level.

Creative Development:

  • Plan, budget, and execute social-specific creative development, collaborating with in-house teams or third-party creatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social media, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization, preferably in the sports or hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Experience with online website development such as Wordpress and Divi.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging content tailored to different audiences.
  • Proficient in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for staying ahead of social media trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
  • Knowledge of the golf industry and gameplay is a must.

Travel:

  • Travel will be in the local market to meet with sponsors, vendors, product locations and potential collaborations.

The Social/Digital Media and Marketing Manager is expected to be a strategic thinker, creative content creator, community manager, and data-driven analyst - all while upholding Eaglewood's brand identity and values in the digital space. Performance will be measured by:

  • Meeting project deadlines and milestones.
  • Effectively communicating project progress and results with stakeholders.
  • Producing high-quality, error-free content that aligns with the brand strategy.
  • Demonstrating teamwork, collaboration, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Showing growth in job knowledge, marketing skills, and ability to take on greater responsibilities.
  • Passionately analyzing and tracking social media performance, striving to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
