What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Development Program Associate position at City of Northfield?
The City of Northfield is hiring for a full time Community Development Program Associate. The purpose of this position is to provide program support to the Community Development Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating and tracking planning and zoning applications, funding applications, grant and program coordination, application and reporting for planning, housing and economic development functions, special event planning, and assisting with project management, attending meetings and assisting the public with inquiries.
MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE :
- Associate's degree in social or behavioral sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, Planning Economics, Urban Studies, History, Information Technology, Geography, GIS, Real Estate, Construction Management or a related field, with one year of related experience required.
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database and Windows-based software experience required.
- Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
HOURS OF WORK :
40 hours per week. Normal business / office hours are from 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 7 : 30 a.m. - 6 : 00 pm on Tuesday; and 7 : 30 a.m. - 12 : 00 p.m. on Friday.
Evenings as needed to attend Commission / Board meetings. Position will require flexibility in scheduling to include any hours at the employers' discretion for appropriate coverage and efficiency and availability to attend evening meetings as necessary. Timely reporting to work with a minimum of absences.
