What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Services Coordinator - Part Time position at City of Northglenn?
Responsible for coordinating a Court-ordered Community Service Program for juvenile offenders between the ages of 10 and 17 years. Schedule: Two Sunday's (could change to Saturdays) per MONTH from 7:30 to 4:30, with an occasional Saturday. Approx. 18 hours per month with an occasional extra weekend date, depending on case load.Work involves direct supervision and safety of youthful offenders performing useful community service.
Will be responsible for driving juvenile offenders in City van to community service worksite. (within City limits)
Research and develop appropriate assignments for program participants.Requires high school graduation and at least one year of previous related experience working with juveniles.
Requires background investigation, and a physical exam (including drug screen).

Prior experience working with low risk youth in accomplishing specific goals in both group and non-group settings highly desirable.
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to maintain accurate and timely records is necessary.Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Must possess, at the time of appointment, and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the State of Colorado and a good driving record

Incumbent will be required to complete a "Defensive Driving" course as juveniles assigned community service will be transported to various locations within the City of Northglenn.
This position primarily involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, with occasional indoor tasks. Candidates must be capable of walking long distances, up to 4 miles or more."
Full Salary Range is $26.58 - $37.21
