What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Day Camp Director position at City of Northglenn?
Assist in working with individuals and groups of participants aged 6-11 years old in the City of Northglenn summer day camp program. Shares responsibility for general supervision, including safety and location, of participants at all times.
Directs staff and groups through the activities and duties of each day. Coordinates with the program coordinator to ensure all activities are organized and prepared. Supports in camp rooms as need. Develops relationships and maintains open communication with staff and guardians of participants. Handle issues of concern in a timely manner, looping in the coordinator as needed. Takes responsibility for the safety and location of children at all times, handles discipline concerns with children/staff and completes reports as needed. Collaborates in supervision and engages groups of campers in the building and on field trips. Keeps director aware of supply needs, camp room happenings, behavioral incidents. Initiates simple first aid as needed. Assists program coordinator as needed.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Requires 460 verified hours experience and college coursework in a related field (preferred coursework in areas of sports, special events, etc.)
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Works summers indoors and outdoors, active participation in all activities with participants, short walking trips, swimming at least twice a week.
15 hours of pre-camp training and CPR/First Aid training provided
Selected candidate will be required to complete and pass a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen.
