What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Day Camp Leader position at City of Northglenn?
Work with individuals and groups of participants aged 6-11 years old in the City of Northglenn summer day camp program. Takes responsibility for general supervision, including safety and location, of participants at all times.
Leads activities (games, sports, arts and crafts, etc.) Leads aides and collaborates in supervision/engagement of campers in the building and on field trips. Keeps director aware of supply needs, camp room happenings, behavioral incidents. Communicates effectively with co-workers, participants and families. Leads participants in knowing and following the rules and expectations by campers. Initiates simple first aid as needed. Assists Directors as assigned. May assist with other youth programs.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have 460 hours of experience with elementary aged children. Hours must be verified by former employer.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Works summers indoors and outdoors, active participation in all activities with participants, short walking trips, swimming at least twice a week
15 hours of pre-camp training, Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid training provided
Selected candidate will be required to complete and pass a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen.
Position is between 32-40 hours per week.
