HIRING RANGE IS $18.95-$21.79/HR
Under the guidance of a Recreation Coordinator, the Seasonal Teen Trip Leader age 18 and up assists in planning and implementing summer camp activities for youth, ages 10-17.
This is a 35-40 hour seasonal position that will work in the following summer programs: Roving Recreation on the Road, Fun in the Park.
Plans and implements summer Youth & Teen trips and group activities under supervision of a Recreation Coordinator. Drives a 15 passenger van and Ford Expedition daily. Completes light custodial work and equipment set-up and break-down in accordance with assignments. Maintains supply inventory and procures supplies for planned activities. Submits receipts for materials to supervisor in a timely manner.
Represents the City of Northglenn in a positive manner, utilizing excellent customer service when interacting with numerous organizations and individuals, including patrons and fellow employees. Participates in and attends trainings. Values diversity; demonstrates awareness and sensitivity and adapts behaviors and communications to accommodate these differences.
Responds proactively with written and verbal communication in an appropriate manner, including phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions. Maintain attendance records.
Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures. Documents accidents and incidents in the program. Encourage patron adherence to operating policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws when necessary.

High School Diploma or equivalent and be 21 or older.
Minimum 1 year of experience in recreation or working with youth.
Skill in customer service, communication, and cash handling.
Knowledge of arts and crafts, sports, or other recreational activities.
Must possess at time of employment and maintain a valid Colorado motor vehicle operator’s license and good driving record.
Must provide a current Motor Vehicle Record.
Drives a 15 passenger van and Ford Expedition daily.
CPR and First Aide certification is required. Training will be provided.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Background and Drug Screen are required of selected candidate.
