Description of Work
Position Definition : The Camp Director- Day Camp for Norwalk Recreation and Parks' Tiny Tots Summer Play & Learn Camp oversees a dynamic half-day camp program for children ages 4-5 (Pre-Kindergarten). The Camp Director- Day Camp ensures a safe, engaging, and enjoyable camp experience for approximately 60 campers per session and manages a team of approximately 10 staff members.
General Duties :
- Oversee daily camp operations to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for campers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Supervise camp activities and guide staff in delivering structured programs.
- Actively participate in all camp activities to promote leadership, teamwork, and positive experiences.
- Mentor staff, helping them build counseling and leadership skills.
- Ensure staff are trained in safety and emergency procedures.
- Handle communication with campers, staff, and parents, addressing any issues that arise.
- Assist in the setup, cleanup, and overall organization of the camp.
Supervised By : Reports to Recreation Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
Special Licenses / Certifications AND / OR Supplemental Information
Certified or able to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and Epi-Pen training (training provided).
