Description of Work
Position Definition: The Launch Ramp Operations Coordinator oversees all launch ramp activities, including boat arrivals, departures, docking, and safety enforcement. This role also involves providing customer service, managing sales of passes and dock fees, and maintaining facility safety and cleanliness. The Coordinator reports to the Aquatics Supervisor and performs additional duties as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General Duties:
- Oversee all launch ramp operations including arrivals, departures, and dockage of boats.
- Ensure the safety of all vessels and personnel by maintaining and enforcing launch ramp rules and regulations
- Coordinate the docking and undocking of vessels
- Assist with mooring lines and electrical hook-ups for vessels.
- Inspect facilities for safety hazards, necessary maintenance, and cleanliness
- Provide customer service to boaters including training, scheduling, and supervision.
- Maintain records of arrivals, departures, maintenance, and other dock activities.
- Responsible for sales of season passes, daily passes, and daily dockage fees.
- Opening Park facilities, direct parking, and keep order around the Boating Center.
- Other related tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Additional Information:
The Ramp Attendant must have the ability to effectively handle boat arrivals, departures, and docking procedures while ensuring safety and enforcing regulations. The role requires knowledge of boat handling, mooring, and electrical hook-ups, along with the ability to perform basic facility maintenance and safety inspections. Strong communication skills are necessary to provide excellent customer service, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is essential. The attendant should also be familiar with the operation of watercraft, park equipment, and have the ability to remain in control during emergencies, and or high-volume traffic.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to maintain records, cash or credit card transactions.
- Previous customer service, boating, sales experience preferred
