The City of Norwalk Parks and Recreation Department is looking for energetic individuals who are interested in helping maintain the McAninch Sports Complex baseball/softball fields during weekend tournaments. The Seasonal Sports Complex Tournament Field Crew will be employed tentatively from March 30 to October 30. The start/end dates and hours per week are subject to change depending on weather, seasonal conditions and number of tournaments scheduled.All offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a background check and drug screening.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are normal for this position but dependent upon the level of skill, ability, and experience of the individual. They are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Operate various field maintenance utility vehicles.Set up baseball and softball fields for games and practices.Drag/rake/ chalk baseball and softball fields.Maintain baseball and softball fields during weekend tournaments.Facility and concession clean up after tournaments and events including trash removal.Maintain clean restroom facilities during and after the tournaments and events including trash removal.Performs other facility and site maintenance tasks as assigned.
