General Description
This is responsible work involving providing supervision and support at youth family and recreation activities for the municipality’s youth and adults. Work involves responsibility for supervising and interacting in varied youth family and recreational programs. Duties include arranging for equipment and supplies; and supervising programs.Duties & Responsibilities
Aide in the instruction of school-aged children in the fundamentals of popular sports; and non-physical recreational activities.
Aide in the facilitation of social emotional learning groups with youth; and young adults.
May aide in the promotion of programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to get to and from various work locations.
First aid and CPR certification preferred.
A minimum of one-year experience working in adult & youth recreation; and/or social emotional programming.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree and/or working towards a degree in child/youth development; elementary/secondary education; human services; sports and recreation.
