Job Summary:
The Referee position officiates at sporting events, games, or competitions, to maintain standards of play as well as sports policies and to ensure that game rules are observed by participants and spectators. Works directly with the public and is responsible for contributing to a fun and safe environment for friendly competition.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Judge performances in sporting competitions to award points, impose scoring penalties, and determine results.
- Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play or competition.
- Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
- Keep track of event times, including race times and elapsed time during game segments, starting, or stopping play when necessary.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with coaches, participants and spectators.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Other duties not listed related to this position.
Essential Skills/Abilities/ Requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years of age-Required.
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends-Required.
- Must be able to prove reliable transportation-Required.
- A valid work Permit- Required.
- Must be able to pass a background check- Required.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time- Required.
- Ability to run, walk, bend, stoop and kneel- Required.
- Ability to move arms above waste and turn body from side to side- Required.
