assisting customersrespond to public inquiries, concerns, and complaints to resolve and improve servicesgeneral cleaning and daily maintenance of pool facilities and locker roomsdaily checking and balancing pool chemicalsmonitoring use of supplies & inventoryoverseeing swim lessons and public swimmingpatrolling and enforcing facility ruleshandle opening and closing procedures opening and closing register, balancing receipts, and making dailydepositsoversee and instruct swim lessonsmonitoring and supervising staff including scheduling, time sheets, staff meetings, training, discipline,evaluations and more.other duties as assigned within the scope of the position to benefit the O'Fallon Parks & RecreationDepartment.Essential Skills / Abilities / Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) or American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) advanced certification.Current certification in (or ability to achieve) First Aid & CPR.Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing (English)Qualities such as diplomacy, trustworthiness, reliability, and diligence.Physical and mental capacity to perform the essential functions of the position.Reliable transportation to and from work.Available mid-May through Labor Day - mornings, days, evenings and weekends are required.Must pass a background check, required.Essential Physical Requirements :
