What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Swim Coach position at City of O'Fallon?
The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable Assistant Swim Team Coach. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your skills in coaching, decision making and problem solving? Our Assistant Swim Team Coaches earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $15.85 hourly.
As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing swim instruction to participants of the swim team.
As an Assistant Swim Team Coach, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing swimming instruction
- Assisting with organizing swim meets as well as attending the swim meets
- Attending in-service training to remain certified
- Providing first aid when needed
We're looking for someone who is a great communicator and interested in sharing their knowledge of swimming to the swim team. This person should be able to easily learn department policies and procedures, including pool operation guidelines and principles and the use of pool chemicals.

Applicants must:
- Be proficient in each of the four swim strokes and have the ability to teach them
- Have knowledge of water rescue techniques
- Have, or have the ability to attain First Aid and CPR certification
