About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Senior Utility Engineer. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the city's infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in managing complex projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop plans for new construction and improvement projects involving streets, drinking water systems, wastewater, sewage treatment plant, stormwater, and waterfront infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects meet regulatory requirements and are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including City Council members, developers, contractors, and the public.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8 years experience in a broad range of professional engineering responsibilities including infrastructure planning, funding, design, construction, and testing.
- Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Washington or able to obtain through reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.
