- Ensuring compliance with permit conditions, excavation regulations, and applicable City codes; issuing notices of violation as necessary.
- Reviewing utility excavation permit plans, determining appropriate work scope and methods, and authorizing field modifications as required.
- Acting as the primary point of contact between senior OakDOT leadership and utility companies, contractors, and other right-of-way users.
- Investigating and resolving public complaints; providing guidance to the public on code compliance and technical requirements.

This recruitment will produce two eligible lists. The restricted list will be for full-time, permanent part-time, or part-time City and Port of Oakland employees who maintain employment for the duration of the recruitment and pass all stages of the recruitment process. Experience: Three years mid-level project management and construction management experience in a public works, civil works and institutional building setting. One year of experience comparable to a Construction Inspection Supervisor in the City of Oakland.
Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications may be acceptable.
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture or closely related field.
