Summary: Under basic supervision, provides skilled project coordination support for Utilities projects. Projects include water plant, wastewater plant, water distribution, wastewater collection, reuse system, and associated utility projects as assigned. Responsible for coordination and completion of each project and will perform a variety of tasks including assessing needs, defining requirements, setting deadlines, coordination of personnel and material resources, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree preferred or demonstration of experience and skills related to organization, scheduling, and office software and strong work ethic with problem solving skills. Essential Functions: -- Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides support in multiple improvement projects though planning, design and/or construction/implementation.
- Processes resource acquisition as required for efficient project coordination.
- Processes project payments for consultant and construction services verifying project status and invoice justification.
- Establishes coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and staff.
- Distributes contracts or plans for staff and/or consultant review.
- Provides status reports of project(s) to City staff, Mayor or Council, and constituents.
- Facilitates public meetings for citizen's participation in the planning process.
- Assist with the QA/QC process of the plan review to promote a thorough review.
- Prepares and submits regulatory reports and records.
- Prepares written and oral reports of proposed improvement projects.
- Aids in the scheduling of project deliverables.
- Monitors time and dollar expenditures to ensure projects and budgets meet established targets.
- Reviews policies and procedures to ensure that City policies are followed.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Maintains detailed records and files in an organized manner for efficient use and recall.
- Supports the departmental operations with regular and timely attendance at work.
- Supports the relationship between the City of Odessa and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
