What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pro Shop Attendant-Golf position at City of Ottawa?
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet customers and provide information about the golf course and park
- Process sales transactions, including golf rounds and merchandise sales.
- Restock and display merchandise in the pro shop
- Manage reservations and tee times using the booking system
- Answer phones and handle customer inquiries professionally
- Keep the pro shop clean and organized
- Assist with tournament operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate reordering needs
Ancillary Job Functions:
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Comply with all City ordinances, policies, and relevant state and federal laws. Assist other departments as needed, contributing to the overall success of municipal operations.
- General office conditions and moderate noise levels

- Sitting, Standing and Dexterity: The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and standing, as well as repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement.
- Manual Coordination: Precise hand-eye coordination is necessary for tasks related to golf operations and equipment handling.
- Lifting: The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.

Residency: Regular full-time employees are required to establish and maintain residency within a driving distance of 35 miles of Ottawa City Hall within one year from hire.
