Responsibilities
- Provides customer service at the revenue areas at the Arboretum and ensures customers are provided quality service.
- Responsible for serving requested product(s) to customers, including food and beverage items, merchandise, admission tickets, and other activities.
- Collects fees and enters information and cash or credit card into point-of-sale (POS) system. Assists with product deliveries, stocking and rotation of product.
- Cleans the work area to include mopping, sweeping, dusting and removal of trash. Maintains a clean and functional work area in accordance with state and city health codes.
- Provides general information to visitors and enforces rules.
- The employee must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors and any other persons or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.
- The employee must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.
- Basic education equaling 8 grades and a minimum of 14 years of age.
- This is an entry-level position. No previous experience is required.
