Summary
Observes and protects the patrons of the City's public swimming pools. Enforces pool rules of safety, guards swimmers and rescues swimmers in danger of drowning or other aquatic emergency. Attends mandatory training classes.
Requirements
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and proof of eligibility must be provided if selected for hire.
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test.
Normal Work Hours: Variable Hours - PT/SEA/TMP
Pay Rate: $15.25 Per Hour

- Basic education equaling 8th grade and a minimum of 15 years of age.
- Completion and certification through Starguard in the Starguard Lifeguard Course through the City of Overland Park.
