Golf Equipment Operator

Job Summary

Position: Seasonal Equipment Operator (Part-Time; Non-Exempt) Department: Golf Course Maintenance Job Summary: The Seasonal Part-Time Equipment Operator performs various tasks involving operating equipment such as: mowing brush hogging and other tractor work involved in golf course maintenance. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Salary:

$14.69 per hour; does not include benefits

Schedule:

Hours: 6:30 - 11:00 am OR 6:30 am - 2:30 pm; two to three days per week

Essential Functions

• 
  Weekly mowing of various surfaces throughout the golf course; fairways; roughs; tee/green surrounds; clubhouse lawns; etc.

• Mowing of native areas and pond/creek banks; as needed; throughout course with tractor implement

• Other miscellaneous tractor work as needed (PTO blower; aerator; slicer; etc.)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• 
  Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to follow directions and learn new skills quickly

• Ability to operate tractors; and other light motorized equipment

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

Work will be performed mostly outdoors in all types of weather conditions; including extreme temperatures; hot and cold; and wet and/or humid conditions. The work environment may include exposure to drafts; noise; dust; and grease.

Tasks require ability to lift/push/pull/ and/or move up to 50 pounds with mechanical or manual assistance on a regular basis; and typically involve some combination of walking; sitting; or standing for extended periods of time; balancing; climbing; bending; crawling; crouching; feeling; handling; hearing; kneeling; reaching; repetitive motion; and mental and visual acuity; and may requires use of personal protective equipment.
