Job Summary
Position: Recreation Technician (Rec Tech) (Part-Time; Non-Exempt) Department: Community Center Job Summary: The Rec Tech opens and/or closes the Center helps organize and works new and existing recreational programs for the community maintains the general appearance of the facility fulfills all custodial needs while on site maintains statistical records and reports works special events on request and will function as contact staff on site to accommodate rental needs. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Community Center Manager.

Salary:
$12.24 per hour (No benefits)
Schedule:
- Varies/On call: 15-25 hours/week
- Hours of coverage include Mon – Fri 4pm – 9pm; and Saturday and Sundays varies between the hours of 8am – 9pm
Essential Functions
Opens and/or closes the Center
- Helps organize and works new and existing recreational programs for the community
- Maintains the general appearance of the facility and fulfills all custodial needs while on site
- Maintains statistical records and reports
- Works as contact staff on site to accommodate rental needs
- Performs other duties as requested by the Community Center Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must work well with all ages
- Obtain First Aid/CPR certificate within six months after hire date
- Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Oral communication/interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and participants while performing duties
- Ability to maintain regular; predictable and punctual attendance
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to pass a drug screen; criminal background check; and credit check
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work will be performed indoors; but will include work with outdoor events that may include varying weather conditions and sounds.
Tasks require ability to lift/push/pull/ and/or move supplies; materials; and equipment up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; with mechanical or manual assistance; and typically involve some combination of walking; sitting; or standing for extended periods of time; walking; balancing; climbing; bending; crawling; stooping; crouching; feeling; handling; hearing; kneeling; reaching; repetitive motion; and mental and visual acuity.
