The City of Owensboro is hiring experienced Police Officers.
Excellent Pay and Benefits!
· Up to a $25,000 sign on bonus
· Competitive Salary based on years of service
(currently ranging between $59,243 to $81,321)
· Eligible for annual step and COLA increases
· Eligible for $4300 a year state training incentive pay
· Structured Retention Bonuses
Þ 3 years - $2000
Þ 6 years - $3000
Þ 9 years - $5000
Þ 12 years - $6000
· Yearly clothing allowance of $700
· Take Home Fleet
· Tuition Reimbursement
Provides law enforcement for the Police Department and ultimately the citizens of Owensboro to ensure productive, safe, efficient, and customer oriented administration of City services using generally accepted law enforcement practices under the direction of designated management with applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Patrols assigned beat on foot or in/on appropriate police vehicle in order to:
control traffic, prevent crime, prevent disturbance of peace, arrest violators.
May be assigned to other units as well.Must currently be a full time police officer and have 3 years law enforcement experience.
Be POPS certified and such certification must be portable or POPS certifiable and such certification must be obtained without having to attend the DOCJT Basic Training Academy.
