What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at City of Paducah?
Under the direct supervision of the Pool Manager, admits patrons to the pool and assists with operations of the concessions stand. Operate cash register. Monitor and maintain the safety of customers, patrolling and enforcing facility rules, general cleaning, and daily maintenance of pool facilities, concessions, and locker rooms. Other duties as assigned.
Illustrative Duties:
- Assists other staff with maintaining the safety of customers.
- Prepare food and take orders.
- Assists with handling admission fees, concession fees, handling money, making correct change, and opening and closing cash register.
- Assists pool manager with opening and closing procedures.
- Patrol pool facilities and enforce facility rules.
- Assists pool manager with public inquiries, concerns, and complaints to resolve issues and improve services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-Time Seasonal
Pay Range: $11.50 - $12.00/hour

Qualifications:
Must be at least 15 years of age. Be able to work well with people and have excellent communication skills. Count and handle money. Must be able to operate a computer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to work long hours in the outdoor summer temperatures. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to pass the Essential Job Function Test.
