What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Programmer - Graphic Design and Marketing - Regular Part-Time Benefits Eligible position at City of Palm Beach Gardens?
This position will primarily be responsible for the marketing and advertising of the Recreation Department's programs, facilities, and events. This position will also implement activities that drive revenue and strengthen relationships with local organizations to elevate the department’s visibility.

- Uses graphic design to create promotional materials for programs, events, facility rentals, brochures, rack cards, website, presentations, and other digital and printed materials
- Collaborates with the City’s Communications Department for social media promotions, website updates, Signature City magazine, and other marketing opportunities
- Serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for recreation offerings at city events and community expo/fairs, and responsible for the marketing of the department’s fun mobile trailer
- Develop relationships with local hotels, vendors, schools, organizations, parent groups, and businesses to promote offerings and facilities
- Assists with photography and host interviews for events, GardensLife Brochure, and special projects
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
PERIPHERAL DUTIES:
- Occasional local travel may be required
- Assists with various peripheral duties including the picking up of supplies, ordering materials, running errands, arranging for the rental and/or maintenance of equipment and setup for special events
- Composes and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness
- Ability to provide backup to related positions as division needs require
- Associate degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
- 1-3 years of marketing, events, non-profit, or sales experience preferred
- Experience with various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
