Summer camp team members for the City of Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Division's primary role is to ensure the safety of youth campers in our various summer camp programs. Duties include but are not limited to, supervision of campers, policy enforcement, cleaning, fostering a fun and wholesome environment where friendships are forged – all while helping to create memories that will last a lifetime! Summer camp team members are required to have the ability to interact with the public in a professional, friendly, positive and tactful manner at all times. This position requires the ability to work varying hours during week, as camp needs dictate.

- $14.71/hour Camp Assistant- High School Student age 16 years or older; assists with camp tasks as needed.
- $16.28/hour Camp Counselor- High School Student age 17 years or older; responsible for maintaining staff/camper ratios; able to facilitate activities with supervision.
- $17.86/hour Camp Specialist - High School diploma; minimum of one-year professional experience working with children in a camp like setting; able to facilitate activities without supervision.
- $19.69/hour Assistant Camp Programmer – High School diploma; some College or College degree preferred; minimum of one-year professional experience working with children in a camp like setting; assists in overseeing a camp group and fills in as the Camp Programmer in the Programmer’s absence; regularly scheduled for camp opening or closing shifts.
- $22.06/hour Camp Programmer - High School diploma; College degree preferred; minimum of two years professional experience working with children in a camp like setting; oversees a camp group and the staff assigned to that group; participates in pre-camp planning activities; can perform Programmer duties with minimal supervision; scheduled for camp opening or closing shifts.
- Applicants are required to attend mandatory orientation sessions, dates and times to be announced
- Certification and training as required by the position
- Valid State of Florida Driver’s License with good driving record if required by position.
- Applicants must hold a current CPR/AED Certification or have the ability to obtain one by the first day of employment
