What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Therapeutic Aide - Verne Cox Multi-Purpose Center position at City of Pasadena, TX?
Duties: Greets incoming visitors/participants with a welcoming smile and a verbal hello. Provides hospitality, staff support and communication. Assists in activities such as: field trips, dances, various adaptive sports, walking, swimming, track, arts and crafts, fishing, bowling, tennis, volleyball, basketball and more. Assists participants with disabilities with dressing, restroom reminders, eating, transferring to and from a wheelchair, getting in and out of vehicles, and participating in activities. Must be able to obtain and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record. CPR and First Aid Certification within first 6 months of hire. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
