What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Maintenance Technician IV - Water Distribution position at City of Pasadena, TX?
Duties: Assist in the direction and coordinating activities of Teams engaged in installation, maintenance, repair, and relocation of water distribution and water transmission lines. Plans, supervises and assigns the work of service teams engaged in the installation of new water line taps and water meters. Plans, supervises and assigns the work of service teams engaged in the installation, maintenance or repair of fire hydrants. Plans, supervises and assigns the work of service teams engaged in the installation, maintenance or repair of water line valves. Plans, supervises and assigns the work of service teams in the installation and repair of water lines. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operation of equipment such as backhoes, and track hoes. Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision of other personnel. Minimum of 3 years of experience in installation, and repairing of water distribution and water transmission lines or related construction work. PREFERRED: Class B Texas Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within 6 months. C Water Distribution License.
