What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Pooled Aquatics (Concession Manager) position at City of Pasadena?
Duties: The Concession Manager is responsible for ensuring the Concession area is in compliance with all Safe Food Handling Practices as laid out in the City of Pasadena Concession Policies and Procedures in accordance with the City of Pasadena Health Department and Texas Food Establishment Rules. A food manager must be present at all hours of the operation. The Concession Manager is also responsible for Ride Attendants and communicating the reservation schedule of cabanas/ umbrellas and party rooms to the pool staff. The Concession Manager position is a seasonal position with the City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department. Interview and hire personnel to work in Concession Area and as Ride Attendants at Strawberry Water Park. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performances to increase service quality and enhance job safety. Ensure receipts are compiled at the end of the day or shift and balance. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Ensure concession facilities and workers are in compliance with Federal, State, and Local Health Codes. Concession facilities should be well maintained throughout the year then prepped, operated and partially shut down for the swim season (May-August). Preparing food orders from vendors including paper goods, food goods, CO2, etc. and ensuring delivery tickets are given to Aquatics Office for payment. Keep track of all food establishment records including but not limited to daily temperature logs, certifications, waste forms, etc. Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements. Control inventories for concession food, equipment, small wares, and report any currency shortages to designated office personnel. Analyze operations problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. Develop equipment maintenance schedules for concession buildings and arrange for repairs according to manufactures recommendations. Train Cashiers in daily cash handling skills in accordance to policy of the City of Pasadena. Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements. Resolve customer complaints alongside the Pool Managers. Supervise Ride Attendants during summer opening. Train Ride Attendants in rental procedures and daily duties. Supervises Party Room and rental agreements made for Umbrellas and Cabanas. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
