What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistant I position at City of Pasadena?
Essential Duties & Responsbilities: Maintain daily, monthly, and yearly inventory process. Issue supplies, materials, and equipment to City employees; manually pre-pick stock items from multi-level racking which are specified in Picking Order documents, in advance of issuance to Field Employees; complete all necessary paperwork for stock items issued. Receive delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirm that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, part number, etc; complete all necessary paperwork for stock items received, to include insuring all packing slips/invoices are checked and correct and forward to lead buyer/supervisor. Organize and maintain stock rooms and inventory to include housekeeping (desk area & counter area) and security; maintain labeling system on each stock item; assist in stocking of inventory stock items received or returned to ensure parts are put into bins and are properly numbered. Assist in re-stocking and rotating stock items.
Qualifications: High school education or GED. One (1) year experience working in a computer-aided inventory control operation. Two (2) three (3) years of related clerical experience. Valid Texas driver license and good driving record. OSHA required Forklift Certification within six (6) months. Will be required to respond to emergency call-outs.
