Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Meter Reader to join our team. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for accurately reading and recording utility meters in residential and commercial areas.
Responsibilities
- Walk or drive specified routes to read utility meters
- Record readings accurately using handheld devices
- Report any irregularities or issues with meters
- Perform basic maintenance on meters and associated equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers regarding meter readings
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools for basic equipment repair
- Familiarity with voltmeters and low voltage systems
- Previous field service experience is a plus
- Knowledge of cabling, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Proficiency in using power tools for minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
