The City of Pearland, Texas, is seeking to hire a full-time Utility Billing Meter Services Supervisor to assist with the day-to-day operations of our Utility Billing division within our Finance Department. The Utility Billing Meter Services Supervisor earn a competitive salary of $27.05 - $29.28/hour, based on qualifications.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN UTILITY BILLING METER SERVICES SUPERVISOR
Job Summary:
The purpose of this job within the organization is to coordinate daily field service operations for the Utility Billing Department to gather daily, weekly, and monthly meter readings for billing purposes.
This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Utility Billing Management team with escalated inquiries as needed.
- Assist and leads the Utility Billing Field Service Technician Lead and assist in leading the Utility Field Service Technicians. Including assisting the lead in meet the customer escalations if unable to resolve.
- Reviews and approves payroll for all Utility Billing Meter Technicians and Lead.
- Creates weekly schedules and assigns daily work orders for billing, customer service and delinquency. Including printing of daily work orders.
- Uploads and coordinates weekly meter reading assignments for AMR and AMI meters for scheduled billing and reviews after meter readings reports for field validations.
- Reviews completed daily work orders to ensure all work is accounted for prior to submitting work to Billing Supervisor.
- Monitors and creates listing of AMI scheduled interrogation/reading jobs to identify meters that are not communicating with the network using ITRON's software systems.
- Maintains and manages meter inventory and meter apparatuses inventory. Maintains inventory log.

Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one (1) year of college.
- Requires three (3) years water meter utility or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Water Distribution License
