JOB SUMMARY
Performs technical law enforcement work as a non-uniformed police officer in the investigation of crime and the detection and prevention of violations of the law. Serves as a backup for traffic control, police patrol, crime prevention, community policing, or other functions as required.
Minimum Requirements :
- Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment;
- Must possess, by time of hire, a valid State driver's license without suspension or revocations in any State;
- Felony convictions and disqualifying criminal histories are not allowed;
- U.S. citizen;
- Must be able to read and write the English language;
- Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits.
- Previous investigative work or experience
- Intermediate Peace Officer certificate from TCOLE or the ability to obtain it within 1 year
