Job title : Water Maintenance Worker
Department : Water Production and Collection

Job Type : Full Time / Non-Exempt
Salary : Entry level pay - $14.85 / per hr.
Hours : 8 am to 5 pm (Monday - Friday)
Subject to Dept. Head's discretion - hours may vary)

Job Summary :
Under supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of water / wastewater distribution system facilities; assists in maintenance tasks related to the water / wastewater distribution system; and performs a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Other work tasks include assisting other departments such as required.
Minimum Requirements :
Education / Training : Equivalent to the completion of high school or GED.
Experience : One (1) year experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water services, mains, meters, valves, hydrants, and related facilities is desirable.
Certificate : Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Certification about the primary role within their job description as described in the Essential Function.
Must be able to work outside of regular business hours as needed
Pre-employment requirements
