ADAPTIVE RECREATION LEADER
The City of Peoria is seeking a Recreation Leader I for the Adaptive Recreation Division. This position plays a vital role in meeting the needs of the adaptive population in and around Peoria.
As a Recreation Leader I, you will work in various adaptive programs, including but not limited to :
- Special Olympics
- Friday Night Dances
- Social Activities
- Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Summer Programs
- Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Adult Day / After-School Programs
The primary responsibilities for candidates hired through this recruitment will include assisting with Friday Night Dances, Special Olympics sports, and social activities within the Adaptive Recreation Division.

Compensation :
The full hiring range for this position is $16.27 - $18.30 per hour .

Minimum Requirements :
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least 6 months of volunteer or work experience with individuals with disabilities.
Must provide at least 3 job references.
Licenses and Certifications :
Must have a current certification or be able to complete training.
Must possess a valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
