The City of Peoria Water Services Department has an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Inspector within the Environmental Resources Division. This position will be assigned to the Program Enforcement Division, working with the Cross Connection team to ensure compliance with City, State, and Federal backflow regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct cross-connection control inspections at commercial facilities to ensure proper backflow protection is in place.
- Test, repair, and replace City-owned backflow prevention devices.
- Utilize database-tracking software to monitor compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding cross-connection control.
- Provide excellent customer service and effectively communicate with businesses and the public.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
