The City of Peoria is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Finance Department in a fixed-term, benefited position. This role is key in analyzing and optimizing business processes, financial systems, and workflows to drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial systems, processes, and data structures.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Design, implement, and support process automation and workflow optimizations.
- Perform system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for financial system enhancements.
- Create and maintain essential documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for financial applications.
- Work closely with IT teams and vendors to implement system upgrades, integrations, and ERP projects.
- Stay current with financial system trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Support the ongoing ERP implementation project.
