Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Two-year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
- Physical Demands: Moderate physical exertion is equivalent to lifting between 10 and 25 pounds. Job requirements for manual dexterity or physical manipulation are also moderate.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's license upon hire.
- Limited Police Department Background Check.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Government / Municipal Experience
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- American Public Works Association (APWA) membership or International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) membership

The City of Peoria's Public Works Department is seeking a dayshift Lead Facilities Systems Operations Technician specializing in Fire, Access Control, and Electrical Systems within their Facilities Division.
This leadership role involves providing technical expertise and acting as a lead for Facilities Technician II team members. Responsibilities include offering guidance, assigning and monitoring tasks, and assisting with complex and challenging projects. The role also demands advanced skills in analyzing, designing, installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex citywide multi-site systems.
Please note: This position includes participation in a rotational on-call schedule, requiring availability for evenings, holidays, and weekends.
