The City of Peoria is hiring for an Economic Development Services (EDS) Deputy Director who will assist the Department Director with planning, organizing, reviewing and evaluating real estate development/redevelopment projects, and tasks related to implementing development strategies to attract business and redevelopment opportunities from inception to locate. The Deputy Director will support the day-to-day operations within the EDS team, including implementation of a strategic plan and developing short-and long-term planning and programs to fulfill the strategic plan initiatives. The selected individual will source leads for appropriate target industries, work on business development activities, and form strong relationships between the business community and the City of Peoria.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in economic development, commercial real estate, and/or business development, business administration, or related field;
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with economic development, marketing commercial real estate and/or business development, attraction of advanced industries, redevelopment/project management, and neighborhood revitalization programs. Must have experience with traveling in-and-out of markets for lead generation, and other sales channels to attract key advanced industries to the City. Experience working in a regional economic development organization and/or a private site selection firm specializing in business attraction is desirable;
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire.
