SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Assist in the management, security, and optimization of the City of Peoria’s IT infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Group Policy, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), VSphere, and VMware Horizon. The Systems Administrator will ensure seamless device management, enforce security policies, and maintain high availability across the IT environment.

Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Security Management:

 

Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Software Deployment

 

Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management

 

Virtualization and IT Infrastructure Management

 

Security, Compliance, and System Maintenance

 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three years up to and including five years progressively responsible related experience required.  Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job considered.

IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES: Work requires advanced skills and knowledge in approaches and systems, which affect the design and implementation of major programs and/or processes organization wide. Independent judgment and decision-making abilities are necessary to apply technical skills effectively.  Ability to read literature, books, reviews, scientific or technical journals, abstracts, financial reports, and/or legal documents; deal with a system of real numbers; and practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement; and write reports, prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.

Salary : $80,897 - $99,147
