The City of Perryville is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician within the Street Department of Public Works. Your primary duties would include the maintenance, repair, and construction of public roadway infrastructure including asphalt and concrete pavements, concrete curb and gutters, sidewalks and related roadways; operation of heavy equipment; as well as snow and ice removal. Once trained, members of this team are required to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule typically serving about one week per month.A strong preference will be given to applicants with the following skills, abilities and qualifications: Prior concrete and construction labor experience (preferred)High school diploma or equivalent GED (required)Valid Missouri driver’s license (required)Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement (required)Applicants who do not hold a CDL at the time of hire must be able to obtain as a condition of employment This position is open to the public as well as current City employees.
